Despite some bumps in the road, it looks like Harry and Lloyd will be embarking on another journey before we know it. We first got news earlier this year that things were looking good on the Dumb & Dumber sequel front, with production aiming for a fall. But then Jim Carrey bailed and then rethought that decision, but production was delayed to next year. And it looks like for good reason, as we’ve got an update from the Farrelly brothers themselves.
According to a tweet they are just now putting the finishing touches on a script and have confirmed the title of Dumb and Dumber To. As to where this one will head, we got word that we may find one part of our duo with a child, but that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels will still be the same, dopey characters. They reportedly go out an adventure to ask their child for one of his kidneys, as one-half of the duo has a kidney problem.

With Daniels occupied by The Newsroom, production will wait until spring 2013, which likely means a 2014 release, a full twenty years after the original.
