After a few duds like Land of the Lost, Your Highness and (personally speaking) 30 Minutes or Less, many have grown tired of Danny McBride. But I’ve still got faith in the guy, especially with more Eastbound & Down to come. He is exploring his producing side, as his first project under the Rough House banner with cohorts David Gordon Green, Jody Hill and Matt Reilly was the hilarious Sundance hit The Catechism Cataclysm.

The team is now prepping their second feature film, and as THR reports, they’ve found a director. You know all those E*Trade talking baby ads? Yep, the director of those commercials will make his feature directorial debut with Bullies. Randy Krallman has come aboard for the Mandate Pictures comedy based on McBride’s idea and written by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul (behind the animated show Allen Gregory).

The film follows “two brothers who have bullied people their whole life and finally get what is coming to them.” This seems like a perfect concept for a McBride comedy, but Reilly also said “this is one of the most audacious scripts in years. Not only is it absolutely hilarious, but it also tackles a topical, relevant issue in a fun, smart, and provocative way.”

Check out one of Krallman’s many commercials below.

McBride only has Seth Rogen‘s directorial debut The Apocalypse coming up outside of his regular Eastbound & Down commitment, but casting and production for Bullies is expected to begin quickly, so expect it in theaters by late next year or 2013.
