Bruce Willis seems to be lining up some decent projects after his horrendous last 12 months with Cop Out and Surrogates. First it was announced a few weeks ago he would join Brick and The Brothers Bloom director Rian Johnson‘s sci-fi flick Looper.

Now Deadline reports he will star in the “prison escape drama” The Tomb with Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Shooter) directing. He will play Ray Breslin, “the world’s foremost authority on structural security. After analyzing every high security prison and learning a vast array of survival skills so he can design escape-proof prisons, his skills are put to the test. He’s framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed himself. He needs to escape and find the person who put him behind bars.” Sounds generic, but I liked Fuqua’s last film Brooklyn’s Finest so I’m hoping he has another good one in him. Summit is looking to fast track the film.

Another project which Willis is attached to has found a possible director. Crossing Over and Running Scared director Wayne Kramer is in talks to direct Kane and Lynch, based on the action videogame (via Latino Review). The film is expected to start production in August and it is about “Adam “Kane” Marcus, a mercenary who makes an unlikely alliance with the schizophrenic killer named James Lynch, to be played by Jamie Foxx. The duo is forced to go on a mission to retrieve a stolen microchip.”

What do you think about the upcoming Bruce Willis projects? Which is most appealing?
