Taking a nod from BAFTA and their own set of commissioned beautiful posters for their Best Picture nominees, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences went ahead and set artists on creating new one-sheets for their batch of nine nominees. Including Amour, Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Misérables, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook and Zero Dark Thirty, we’ve picked out a few of our favorites. Above one can see Mark Englert‘s canvas for Quentin Tarantino‘s “southern,” and my personal top pick below, Rich Kelly‘s reimagining of Benh Zeitlin‘s world. Hopefully studios take note when it comes to these well-crafted pieces of art and check out some more below and the rest on the official site.
