[Poster Premiere] James Mangold’s ‘Knight & Day’ Starring Tom Cruise

One of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Film (/Film’s Peter Sciretta) snapped a photo of the new poster for Knight & Day outside the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX. The upcoming action/comedy is directed by James Mangold and stars Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Maggie Grace, Peter Sarsgaard, Marc Blucas, Paul Dano, and Viola Davis. You may recognize the earlier title of the film, Wichita. The official site has a sharper look at the artwork for the film. Check out the poster below.

Plot: An action-comedy centered on a fugitive couple (Cruise and Diaz) on a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they seem. Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth vs. trust.

Entertainment Tonight also has a set visit report and the trailer which was attached to Avatar should be online very soon. Check the former out below.

Unfortunately a theater employee announced before my IMAX showing of Avatar that there would be no trailers attached because of the long length of the film. I’m eager to check it out, comment below if you saw it and what you thought! I’ve enjoyed most of Mangold’s work, but after watching Walk Hard I can never watch Walk the Line without laughing hysterically. This one looks a lot more fun and the poster kind of reminds me of a James Bond theme song animation.

Knight & Day hits theaters July 2nd, 2010.

What do you think of the poster? Did you see the trailer with Avatar?
