[Avatar] Two New Clips, Full Theme Song, Running Time Confirmed, and More

avatar-trailer

With approach only two weeks (two weeks!) away from James Cameron’s return to narrative film making in the form of Avatar, promotion has started to pick up for the 3D sci fi epic. The latest batch comes in the form of two new clips that have cropped up online. The first features Parker Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi) discussing the Avatar program and the main objective of their mission with Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver). The clip comes from MSN (via LatinoReview) and can be viewed below:

The second is from Cineplex (via /Film) and shows the character of Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) showing Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) a creature on Pandora called a Banshee. This can also be viewed below:

Both clips have me very excited, needless to say. After following Avatar’s development over the past two years. It’s hard to believe we’re almost here, and hopefully the film can live up to the promise of the 15 minute IMAX 3D preview, but we’ll just have to wait and see.  Check out some other news items about Avatar below followed by 21 new hi resolution stills.

Leona Lewis: I See You (Avatar Theme Song):

Runtime has also been confirmed at 161 Minutes with credits. This is a little higher than the previous 150 minute report . [Market Saw]
