First Photos From ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader’

The first official photos from the third movie in the Narnia series, The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, have shown up on Fox’s Facebook page for the movie (via Collider). Disney distributed the first two films in the series, but after their disappointment in the performance of the second film, they dropped the rights which Fox then proceeded to promptly pick up. The photos can be viewed below:

This third installment is being directed by Michael Apted, replacing Andrew Adamson who directed the first two films under the guise of Disney, although Adamson is still producing this time around. The plot is described by IMDb as: “Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.” So, in other words, more fantasy, family oriented action. The movie is expected for release on December 10, 2010, so it’s still a little while off. I guess this means I would actually have time to watch the first two. Hmm. Should probably get on that, as not being familair with the first two, I have virtually no reaction to these photos.

Have you seen the previous films? And what did you think of them, in conjunction with these three new photos?
