It’s no surprise after the overwhelming critical acclaim (89% on RT) and the nice box office haul, that Ruben Fleischer’s Zombieland will be getting a sequel. In an interview with Moviehole the director says they just need to “crack” the story but that the next film will “likely be in 3D”, something that the genre really “lends itself to.”  Fleischer has said he will most likely do another film before then. /Film has a list of all his potential projects including Daddy’s Home, a “comedy meant to be a starring vehicle for Will Ferrell“, Neighborhood Watch (another sci-fi comedy), big-screen version of 21 Jump Street, and an early project titled Psycho Funky Chimp, about a mysterious pez dispenser. With the success of Zombieland and the Blu-ray/DVD coming on Feb 2nd, I’m sure we will get news soon of his newest project. I personally loved Zombieland and welcome a sequel or anything else Fleischer does.
