Jordan Raup forgot to mention the fact that the Autobots
have become a commercial for General Motors. I find it hard to believe, an alien race, that can copy virtually any machine form, chooses only Chevrolet's. In this last movie, besides Optimus, we get, a Camaro, a Corvette, two Chevy gas saver models that remind me of Geo's after undergoing a Fast And Furious makeover, a GMC, and a Hummer. Of all of the cars on this planet, from Audi to Tesla, Ferrari to Toyota, you'd think there would be a little more diversity there.

I completely agree with your review. I was awake for the whole movie, but I couldn't even tell you exactly what happenend. I don't know what the main plot was and don't really remember the ending. I thought I probably just wasn't paying attention, but your review points out it's because this movie NUMBS the brain!

I cannot agree with you more. The entire time, I was shaking my head and made my hand into a fist because of how Michael Bay ruined Transformers. I'll let him slip by for messing the first one up, but the second one is just unacceptable.

As long ago as I can recall, when Transformers came on, doing homework came to a halt, washing dishes came to a halt, eating came to a halt. EVERYTHING came to a halt; it was as if the world, itself, came to a halt, and all eyes were on the TV to be marveled by the cartoon's awesome theme song, plot, and action.

As a boy I was intrigued by these robots that valued a code of honor; so intrigued that my brother, friends, and I used to make costumes out of cardboard paper boxes and conduct epic battles between good and evil. Memories that contained sentimental value like this was the only thing that nudged me into seeing the second one, despite the failure of the first one.

I must admit that I am utterly disappointed in Hollywood, especially in Michael Bay. I was hoping that he would redeem himself, but apparently I was wrong. Perhaps the third time is a charm, but I highly doubt his incompetent Hollywood skills can heal the wounds that he has deeply struck into my head.

For now, I'm reliving my childhood memories through Transformers, the cartoon series. Let the healing begin.

Jordan, this thing is brilliant. Your masterwork. And i agree with every syllable. That Michael Bay-shouting out-Michael Bay Bad Boy II thing was one of the most self-serving things I have ever seen on screen. I almost walked out bc of that, and should of, in hindsight because I would have gotten to sleep for 2 more hours - or have cut my eyes out even - that would have probably been better. And better directed for sure.

LOL nice. I was pretty disappointed myself. I couldn't believe how bad they could fuck up after coming off the awesomeness of the last movie. Without the rowdy midnight showing crowd, this movie wouldn't have been as enjoyable. But the IMAX scenes were so bad ass! They looked amazing. Especially with Devastator transforming.
