[Exclusive Interview] Ricky Gervais

ricky-geravis

Last week I attended the Night at The Museum: Battle of The Smithsonian premiere, I’ve already posted my interviews with Ben Stiller, Shawn Levy, and Tom Rothman. Now here’s another one of the quick interviews I got to do with the comedic genius Ricky Gervais.

Pleasure meeting you.

Ricky Gervais: Nice to meet you.

Congratulations on your HBO special it was great.

Ricky Gervais: Thank you very much.

I know you have This Side of The Truth coming out this year.

Ricky Gervais: Yeah, it’s actually called The Invention of Lying now. It’s back to the original title.

What can we expect from that?

Ricky Gervais: I play a man who’s the only person in the world who can lie. The human race has never evolved the gene for lying. It’s me, Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, Christopher Guest, and Jeffery Tambor. The comedy cast of the decade, but it hasn’t got Crystal the monkey. So you can’t have everything.

(laughs) Do you think you can shoe-horn her in it at the end? Everyone loves monkey jokes.

Ricky Gervais: (laughs) I love monkeys, Ben Stiller hates the monkey. That’s an exclusive.

Night at The Museum: Battle of The Smithsonian hits theaters this weekend.
